Verstilde bezoekers

De ‘wandelende’ personages in de Plantentuin laten zich verwonderen door de natuur. Ze zijn er door geboeid en vol bewondering. De figuren verbinden met de omgeving: ze voelen, ruiken, kijken, onderzoeken en genieten van de pracht en van de verschillende geuren.
Visueel verbind ik verschillende disciplines: teken- en schilderkunst, houtsculptuur en installatiekunst. Al wandelend ontmoet je als bezoeker de door de natuur geïnspireerde ‘verstilde’ bezoekers.

Silent visitors

The ‘walking’ characters in the Botanic Garden allow themselves to be amazed by nature. They are fascinated by it and full of admiration. The characters connect with the environment: they feel, smell, look, explore and enjoy the splendour and the different scents.
Visually, I connect different disciplines: drawing, painting, wood sculpture and installation art. While walking, visitors meet nature-inspired ‘hushed’ visitors.

Les personnages “ambulants” du Jardin botanique se laissent surprendre par la nature. Ils sont fascinés et admiratifs. Ils sont en contact avec l’environnement : ils ressentent, sentent, regardent, explorent et apprécient la splendeur et les différentes odeurs.
Visuellement, j’associe différentes disciplines : le dessin et la peinture, la sculpture sur bois et l’art de l’installation. En se promenant, les visiteurs rencontrent des visiteurs ” silencieux ” inspirés par la nature.
