Mijn werken gaan over de wereld die door ons toedoen steeds meer verandert en verloren geraakt. Aangrijpend, confronterend, relativatie, essentie…. Dit zijn een aantal begrippen die deze werken oproepen. Beelden teruggebracht tot hun essentie door het weglaten van achtergronden of overbodige details, versterken het getoonde onderwerp. Monochrome achtergronden verhogen het contrast en benadrukken de kern. De gebruikte leegte schept een eigen wereld die ieder anders ervaart. Het is mijn bedoeling mijn toeschouwers verder te laten ‘kijken’ dan wat ze ‘zien’.
Elk werk heeft zijn eigen verhaal, te lezen door de aandachtige kijker met oog voor elk detail. Ik hoop zo de toeschouwer bewust te maken dat er naast de door ons zelf ontworpen artificiële technologische wereld, er nog steeds een wereld bestaat die in zijn natuurlijke eenvoud zoveel meer van onschatbare waarde is. Een wereld die levensnoodzakelijke organismen bevat die we koste wat het kost in stand moeten houden.

My works are about the world that is increasingly changing and lost because of us. Poignant, confrontational, relatable, essence…. These are some of the terms these works evoke. Images reduced to their essence by omitting backgrounds or superfluous details, enhance the subject shown. Monochrome backgrounds increase contrast and emphasise the essence. The emptiness used creates its own world that everyone experiences differently. My intention is to make my viewers ‘see’ beyond what they ‘see’.
Each work has its own story, to be read by the attentive viewer with an eye for every detail.
In this way, I hope to make the viewer aware that beyond our self-designed artificial technological world, there is still a world that is so much more invaluable in its natural simplicity. A world that contains life-sustaining organisms that we must preserve at all costs.

Mes travaux portent sur le monde qui change de plus en plus et qui est en perdition à cause de nos actions. Poignante, confrontante, parlante, essentielle…. Voici quelques-uns des concepts évoqués par ces œuvres. Les images réduites à l’essentiel, en omettant les arrière-plans ou les détails superflus, mettent en valeur le sujet présenté. Les fonds monochromes augmentent le contraste et mettent l’accent sur l’essentiel. Le vide utilisé crée un monde propre que chacun peut expérimenter différemment. Mon intention est d’amener mon public à “voir” au-delà de ce qu’il “voit”.
Chaque œuvre a sa propre histoire, à lire par le spectateur attentif à chaque détail.
J’espère ainsi faire prendre conscience au spectateur qu’au-delà de notre monde technologique artificiel conçu par nous-mêmes, il existe un monde bien plus précieux dans sa simplicité naturelle. Un monde qui contient des organismes vitaux que nous devons préserver à tout prix.
