ADMIRING NATURE: A CERAMIC SYMPHONY
Keramiek en plexi
Objecten en thema’s haal ik vormelijk door mijn persoonlijke denkproces van stileren en abstraheren. Ik hou van optimisme en een twist. Wiskunde is nooit veraf en dan bedoel ik het repetitieve en het technisch uitdagende. Ik hou van kleur en van het stoere en toch vrouwelijke.
Mijn werk hier stelt de natuur voor in de vorm van een plant, met een bloemknop die eindigt in de lucht. 18 keramische schalen verbeelden het gebladerte met bovenaan een kring van keramische bloemblaadjes. De knop is gemaakt van spiegelend plexiglas. Technisch was het een uitdaging. Het moest groots zijn.
Naast de plant zie je een voorstelling van de mens, klein en in bewondering. Ook deze is volledig in keramiek gemaakt en voorgesteld door een oog. Je ziet een kraag, geïnspireerd door de bloemblaadjes. De body, gemaakt in gemetste stenen-verband, is eveneens geïnspireerd op de plant, maar hier met een kleuren-chaos.

Ceramics and plexi
Objects and themes take shape through my personal thought process of stylising and abstracting. I like optimism and a twist. Maths is never far away and by that I mean the repetitive and the technically challenging. I love colour and the bold yet feminine.
My work here represents nature in the form of a plant, with a flower bud ending in the sky.
18 ceramic bowls depict the foliage with a circle of ceramic petals at the top. The bud is made of mirrored Plexiglas.
Technically, it was a challenge. It had to be grand.
Next to the plant, you see a representation of man, small and in admiration.
This too is made entirely in ceramic and represented by an eye. You can see a collar, inspired by the petals. The body, made in cast stone dressing, is also inspired by the plant, but here with a colour chaos.

Les objets et les thèmes prennent forme grâce à mon processus personnel de stylisation et d’abstraction. J’aime l’optimisme et les rebondissements. Les mathématiques ne sont jamais loin et j’aime ce qui est répétitif et techniquement difficile. J’aime la couleur, l’audace et la féminité.
Mon travail représente ici la nature sous la forme d’une plante, avec un bouton floral qui se perd dans le ciel.
18 bols en céramique représentent un feuillage avec un cercle de pétales en céramique au sommet. Le bourgeon est en plexiglas réfléchissant.
Techniquement, c’était un défi. Il fallait que ce soit grandiose.
À côté de la plante, on trouve une représentation de l’homme, petit et admiratif.
Elle aussi est entièrement réalisée en céramique et représentée par un œil. On peut voir un collier inspiré des pétales. Le corps, réalisé en pierre de taille, s’inspire également de la plante, mais avec un chaos de couleurs.
